holes widening as we DIVE at them, PLUNGING HEADLONG INTO
BLACKNESS --
TUMBLING DOWN the rabbit hole.
After a long silent moment, we hear a MAN SNEEZE.
INT. DIME STORE
The DARKNESS BECOMES a curtain that is yanked open as the
same MAN steps out talking to himself.
MAN
Hi, Susan... no. Hi, Susie...
We realize he has just stepped out of a photo booth.

He sets the candlestick down on the floor. Both servants run at the door franti-

ittle G Minor) begins. We see what the servants see.

Right side up, the carriage gently rides the tranquil
rapids out of the park area. It bobs through an open
sewer tunnel pipe.
5 INT. THE SEWER--NIGHT 5
The carriage innocently slides through the murky waters
of the awesomely cavernous and creepy sewer, softly
surfing its sides.
6 INT. A DARK LAIR--NIGHT 6
The resilient carriage spews from
swirls across the dance floor, including
Anastasia dancing gracefully with her father.
Under a long buffet table, we see DMITRI, 11, darkly
handsome, dressed in ragged servant clothes, with a
shock of dark hair which continuoually falls accross his
eyes as watches the guest enviously. Anastasia, still
waltzing with her father, sees him. SERVENTS cross the
room carrying a trays of BEAUTIFUL TROPIC
down the street, sharing a bottle of wine. They open an umbrella and stand underneath it, smooching and giggling. We follow the STREAM OF WATER from their umbrella to the street, where it swirls into drain holes in the MANHOLE COVER that they re standing on. Suddenly...

CLANG!! The manhole cover pushes up under their feet. He flinches- bites down on her lip, drawing blood. She yelps.
Rolls into FRAME. A bauble of green and blue and white swirls of cloud cover. The eerie clip and whistle of cosmic rays is drowned out by static and someone singing 몵MY WAY몶 - in Russian.

Gleaming white. Black letters on its side, CCCP. A Russian COSMONAUGHT in his space suit is outside, repairing radio antenna. He몶s the one singing.

As the car roars past, leaving snow swirling in their dirft, the title of the film fades in.
