A Texas Ranger patrol car pulls into the parking lot and a real live Texas Ranger, EARL MCGRAW, steps out. McGraw is in full ranger uniform - button shirt, cowboy hat, boots, mirrored shades, tin star and a colt revolver on his hip.
Its about an hour and a half before sundown and McGraw is off duty for the day.
The only other car in the parking lot is a 1975 Plymouth
(Charley Varricks car).
INT.
Pink Floyds "Dark Side of the Moon (Brain Damage)" plays as WHITE TITLES appear over black. As the song crescendos at the first chorus, SUNLIGHT flares over the lunar horizon and a crescent sliver of THE MOON is illuminated- huge, filling the screen f rom top to bottom. Were in space, circling around from the dark side until a HUGE FULL MOON fills the screen with whiteness- TITLES continue as we
burning pack of matches before throwing them into the liquid.
The liquid IGNITES with a poof.
The flame runs up the stream, gaining in speed and intensity. It begins to ripple and rumble as it runs down the deck towards the stern.
EXT. BOAT - NIGHT - STERN

Wipers swish slowly to reveal a slender woman of refined

A blinking cursor pulses in the electronic darkness like a
heart coursing with phosphorous light, burning beneath the
derma of black-neon glass.
A PHONE begins to RING, we hear it as though we were
making the call. The cursor continues to throb,
relentlessly patient, until --

HEAD CREDITS ROLL over A MONTAGE: the CITY STREETS are now
populated by the WALKING DEAD. In every shape, size and colour
they wander, without purpose, up and down the avenues, in and
out of buildings. The city is theirs, they have inher
full dressed, hands folded

INT. MIAMI BEACH MOTOR LODGE, RESTAURANT -- DAY
Welles sits alone at the bar, eating a sandwich, bored. He
watches some fuzzy ESPN on the t.v., looks at his watch.
EXT. MIAMI BEACH MOTOR LODGE -- DAY
Welles walks across the parking lot, gets into his RENTAL
CAR, starts it and drives away.
EXT. MIAMI BEACH DISCOTHEQUE --
fully avoiding massive sandstone pinnacles which jut up from
the ocean floor far below.
DISSOLVE TO:
6 EXT. DEEP SEA - NIGHT
THE SHINKAI hovers near a gigantic tectonic plate.
A ROBOTIC ARM extends out from under the plexi-dome. Its "hand" is a
high-tech LASER CUTTER. It approaches the plate, steadies, then fires
a direct BLUE BEAM at the bedrock, burns the rock into magma and cuts
a perfect roun
burning behind. There follows a confusion of burning, raping, killing and looting - we dont clearly see whats going on.
Suddenly we cut to the interior of a hut. The door is in the process of being broken down. The camera pans onto the close-up face of an attractive girl who is staring in horrified fascination at the door. Her arms are white with fresh dough and flour.
