(1) 바이오메스로부터 syngas의 생성에는 다음 세 가지 방법이 이용된다.

1) Bitumen의 Upgrade 과정에서 나오는 heavy residue (asphaltenens)나 Delayed coker에서 부산물로 나오는 coke를 가스화 (gasfication)하여 H2와 CO로 구성되는 Syngas를 제조하며,
