1. 영문 이력서의 나쁜 예
→24th로 고쳐야하며
→는 Cellular phone이라고 써야 한다.
→Bachelor Business Administration in Accountancy. 실제 학위를 정확하게 기입한다.
→위 두 줄에서 사용한 Processed는 Action 동사가 아니다. 무슨 일을 실제로 했는지 파악하기 힘들다.
→Liaised with the company’s CPA for preparation of Federal & State tax returns라고 명확하게 표현한다.
→Prepared Australian gross sales tax payments based on income generated in Australia가 훨씬 정확하고 간결하다.
→목적 없는 review of assets라는 단어를 사용했다. Maintained depreciation schedule based on review of lives of assets라고 해야 정확하다.
→Bank reconciliation을 매달 했다는 것까지는 좋은데 lease payment schedule을 가지고 무엇을 했다는 것인지가 드러나 있지 않다.
→Proposed adjusting journal entries on monthly basis가 정확한 표현이다. 왜냐하면 수정 분개는 한 달에 한 번씩만 실행하기 때문이다.

→모호한 표현이다. Updated and maintained client’s annuity and 401(k) accounts가 정확한 표현이다. Investment는 이미 annuity와 401k가 Investment account를 내포하기 때문에 중복되므로 portfolio라는 단어는 필요하지 않다.
→명확하지 않은 표현이다. Updated account database supporting brokers라고 정확한 표현을 쓴다.
→문법이 잘못되었다. fluent……, competence……정도로 고쳐 써야 한다.
→문법이 잘못되었다. Reading the Wall Street Journal, running and traveling to Southeast Asia으로 써야 한다.
