본문내용

Nitric acid and Sulfuric acid로 methyl benzoate를 처리하면 electrophilic aromatic substitution에 의해서 methyl 3-nitrobenzoate가 만들어진다. 전체 반응 전 Nitric acid and Sulfuric acid의 mixture 반응에 의해 nitronium cation, NO2 +가 만들어진다. 이 실험에서 사용하는 시약은 모두 액체 이지만 만들어지는 생성물은 고체이기 때문에 recrystallization에 의해 정제되고 특정 melting point를 갖는다.
