Nowadays, ‘eutrophication’ presents as one of the most serious ecological problems of open water sources such as lakes, oceans and reservoirs. It can be occurs naturally over centuries as lakes age and filled in with sediments, or acid rain. However, it has been rapidly increasing caused by human activities like fertilizers, municipal sewage, and wastewater from the factory. The Baltic Sea is one of the world’s most serious polluted seas because of this problem.
