My recent adventure through Kyushu, Japan’s southwestern gem, was a tapestry woven with vibrant experiences and cultural immersion. From the vibrant streets of bustling cities to the tranquil landscapes steeped in tradition, each moment etched a unique tale of exploration.

My journey commenced in Jinju, where the anticipation of exploring Kyushu began. From the Jinju Intercity Bus Terminal, I embarked on a voyage to Kimhae International Airport, a gateway to the world. With JAL Airlines, the flight gracefully took me to Fukuoka Airport, a city teeming with modernity yet rooted in tradition. Upon arrival, I navigated through the domestic terminal, hopping on the subway to reach Hakata Station.

The Kamome25 whisked me away from the station to Nagasaki, a city veiled in historical significance. After checking in at my accommodation, I embarked on a fascinating adventure. From the Gotocho Station, I acquired a transfer ticket and immersed myself in the local transport culture, experiencing the unique Ourlandencho City Tour and visiting the iconic Shikairo building.

Wandering toward Ishibashi Station, I marveled at the Guraiben streets, enjoying the stunning night views at Minamiyamate and exploring the distinctive external architecture of Ourlandencho. As the clock struck 7 in the evening, I found myself back at Shikairo, relishing the allure of the Chinese Quarter at Shinchi by 7:30 before retiring to my hotel.

The subsequent morning began with a check-out from Yufuin Country. Boarding a bus to Beppu led to exploring the dramatic landscapes of Kannawa Jigoku and Umi Jigoku. A stop at B-Con Plaza offered panoramic views, followed by a delightful sushi meal at Kamae Kou revolving sushi bar.

The day continued with a journey on the express Sonic38, traversing to Hakata and Tenjin stations, ultimately leading to my stay at Hotel Ascent Fukuoka. The evening was dedicated to a walk to Canal City, concluding with a return to the cozy comforts of the hotel.

The final day commenced with a relaxing breakfast and check-out from the hotel. A shopping spree at Hakata Station ensued, adorned with memories and mementos. Finally, the journey looped back to Fukuoka Airport, bidding farewell to Kyushu's enchanting vistas as I prepared to embark on my flight back home.

This sojourn across Kyushu was a tapestry of moments intricately woven with cultural encounters, natural marvels, and an unceasing sense of wonder. The memories created during this journey will forever remain etched in the corridors of my travel diaries, beckoning for another odyssey to this captivating land.
