What’s False memory?
- the recollection of an event, or the details of an event, that did not occur
- effected by prompts and cues
- one of the memory failures

Experiment done by Elizabeth Loftus and Jacqueline E. Pickrell
Purpose
to implant a false memory of getting lost in the mall when they were 5 years old.
Our Experiment
Hypothesis
- the probability of creating false memory is greater in people who were given prompts
Purpose
to implant false memory of a bicycle in the video clip when given a question with a prompt
Sampling
- Took a sample of 60 individuals, 30 men and 30 women in their twenties, who are not counseling psychology majors
- experimental group, control group: 30people each
