1. Green Logistics?
Green logistics describes all attempts to measure and minimize the ecological impact of logistics activities. This includes all activities of the forward and reverse flows of products, information and services between the point of origin and the point of consumption. It is the aim to create a sustainable company value using a balance of economic and environmental efficiency. Surprisingly, Green Logistics includes social responsibility aspects. In a nutshell, Green Logistics means logistic methods to guarantee social sustainability.

One of the biggest logistics company, DHL, has been developing a wide range of Green Logistics activities. Their Green Logistics activities are classified into three great divisions. They are ‘Go Green, Go Help, and Go Teach’. First of all, ‘Go Green’ is a project, which is directly associated with general definition of green logistics. Secondly, ‘Go Help’ is related to disaster management of the world. DHL made a partnership with UN, and helps UN for managing world disaster. At last, ‘Go Teach’ is an educational activity of DHL. DHL makes an effort for improving educational opportunity for young people.
