A SILHOUETTED MAN in front of mirror dons his Marine dress blues. Spit polish shoes laced. Medals clipped to jacket. All in CLOSEUP. We never see him fully.
The Man puts HIS HAT squarely on his head. EYES glint.
On the mans dresser: MARINE MEMORABILIA. Three Purple Hearts, photos of a WOMAN (his wife), PHOTOS OF MARINES in combat locales.
TIGHTER INTO THE PHOTOS
We HEAR PANICKED VOICES, EXPLOSION
etch a ladder that Will reach.
-We havent got one, Miss Rose. -Hes not a servant.
Blow the candles out, all except one.
Come on.
Higher.
Perhaps We could buy a pig on higher purchase.
We Would have quite a lot of bacon eventually.
Its all right. Rose is dabbling in the occult.

TITLES ROLL:
CLOSE ON a finely-worked Medieval tapestry. In the
background, beyond the intricate foliage, stands a moated
castle where a troop of mounted hunters set out for the
chase with dogs and lances. In the foreground, a lovely
young maiden heads for the forest, carrying an armful of
flowers. The forest, stylistically rendered by the
weav
