EXT. HARLINS GARAGE - DAY
Down the road from the MINING COMPANY, BOBBYS CAR pulls into a
small GAS STATION, made of weather-beaten wood, its windows long
since dusted over. The pumps themselves look to have been
manufactured in the early fifties. Above the station is a sign
so faded its barely readable: HARLINS.

EXT. THE STREET OUTSIDE
Were almost ON TOP OF the phone booth, the phone is still
ringing as a HAND reaches INTO FRAME and snatches the phone
from its cradle.
A WOMANS VOICE (V.O.)
(a touch Irish accent)
Yes?
ANOTHER ANGLE - And we see a woman named DEIRDRE on the
phone: striking, dark-haired, Irish. She carries herself
with the same professional edge as the men inside th
darkness of the cave. The man looks down at his
friends lifeless form, then starts to look around for the creature. They
find each other, a battle ensues, the man stabs the creature several
times and finally kills it. From out of its wounds seeps a black oil which
takes on a life of its own as it changes direction and begins to flow
towards the man. It enters his body, crawling under his skin fro

the elevator. Looks over the balcony, sees figures on the
stairs. Hears the elevator cage start from below.
Thinking fast, he wrenches open the steel gate, leans into
the lift shaft, watches the elevator COUNTERWEIGHT as it
comes down. Almost no

her father believes she suffers from a heart disease.
Because of this fictitious illness, she doesnt go to school.
Her mother acts as her private tutor.
