INT. ARCADE WORLD -- ELECTRONIC DARKNESS
We dont know if its night or day. Its just black.
And maybe...maybe intermittent SPARKS racing by. So quick we barely
perceive them. Like the sparks you imagine when your eyes are closed.
BREATHING,
slow and hollow, filling up the entire world. Its eerie as hell. A
feeling of utter loneliness.
And now
Liberty Heights Script
I grew up in the northwest section
of Baltimore. It was all Jewish.
In fact, I didn t even think of it
in those terms.
I just assumed everyone was Jewish.
Abrams.
The whole world was Jewish.
Ackerman.
I remember when I was
in the second grade...
... the first clue that some people
were different occurred to me then.
Cohen.
Cohen.
Der.
I even thought Ping Der was Jewish.
The
Slow motion. Armed troops in black uniforms pour out of unmarked vans and swarm across a lawn in a middle class residential neighborhood. Yuppie neighbours look on in shock, confused. Two of the troops carry a battering ram to the front door of a white two-storey house. A leashed Rottweiler snarls and barks. In position, their comrades point M-16s into first-floor windows, ready to be ambushed. P

Elegiac music murmurs as three female and barefoot PAIRS OF
LEGS in skirts break from tableau to gently engage in Croquet.
A blue
The lonely sound of a buoy bell in the distance. Water slapping against a smooth, flat surface in rhythm. The creaking of wood.
Off in the very far distance, one can make out the sound of sirens.
SUDDENLY, a single match ignites and invades the darkness. It quivers for a moment. A dimly lit hand brings the rest of the pack to the match. A plume of yellow-white flame flares and illuminates the bat
