INT. PANEL VAN - DAY
A 150-pound block of dry ice tries to cool down the heat
from all the bodies in the van - Starling and Brigham, the
two other agents, Burke and Hare, and her new best friend,
Officer Bolton. As they drive along, Bolton watches as she
takes several pairs of surgical gloves from her equipment
bag, slips one pair on, and hands the rest to
continuously mounting snow.
TWO MEN, NORRIS AND BENNINGS
standing some thirty yards from the main building are in
the process of letting up a large red balloon. Childs, a
hefty black man, is twenty yards away tinkering with a
snowmobile. Their beards are caked with ice. It is
winter and it is harsh.
The faint sound of the copter turns their attention.
THE COPTER
flying ever lower now. The man wit

Come on. Look at all my stuff here,
all over the pavement.
Come on, baby. Huh?
What do you say?
OK?

Whats it gonna be?
- A bastard!

in calling you is a cab!

Continuing to approach, the shimmering object resolves
into a MILITARY ASSAULT HELICOPTER, its rotors strobing
in the fading sunlight. Drawing closer, the SOUND of
powerful TURBINES, throbbing in the heavy air, becomes
dominant, overpowering.
Guided by COLORED SMOKE and LANDING LIGHTS, the chopper
looms hard INTO VIEW, pitching forward and settling to
the ground, kicking up a maelstrom of dust an

Until a new noise starts. A WHOOSHING NOISE.
The sound is very faint. But distinct from everything else.
Jacob frowns.
The noise gets LOUDER. Jacobs sure hes hearing it now. He
looks at the Greyhaired Man. The man catches his eye and the
two of them stare at each other for a heartbeat - then Jacob
turns away. The Man returns to his book. And Jacob
