What is Priming Theory?
Iyengar & Kinder proposed media priming effect to overcome the major constraint of agenda setting theory.
Hypothesis
1)People do not pay attention to everything they see and their attention is considerably selective.
2)Views are grounded on the assumption that people generally are cognitive misers.

1) Location
Russia is located in the north Eurasia continent (Far East Asia ~ Europe). Russia is the largest country in the world which is about 1/8 of the world’s land area. Because of this huge territory, there is an 11-hour time difference between East and West.
2) Climate
The huge territory of Russia also makes a various climate zone. Basically, Russia has continental
presidential elections. Two rival politicians at the time were Kyongsang province based Kim Young Sam and Cholla province based Kim Dae-Jung. In addition, the fact that the nation was finally democratized overcoming the long tenure of authoritarian rule and that it was a direct presidential election system in 16 years since April 27th 1971 elections, enhanced the citizens’ eagerness to vote.
