2. Who is Salman Rushdie?
Salman Rushdie is a British-Indian novelist and essayist. He was born in Bombay, 1947. He worked for two advertising agencies (Ogilvy & Mather and Ayer Barker) before becoming a full-time writer.
He won the Booker Prize in 1981. Most of his fiction are based on the Indian Subcontinent. The style of his fiction is often classified as magical realism.
