Seoul is known as modern city. But Joseon Dynasty’s relics still have remained. For example, 4daemun and castle.Hanyang castle is connected along Mt.Nak, Mt.Bukak, Mt.Nam, and Mt.Inwang. By mobilizing 200,000 people in the 14th century it was made. After that, over the years, partly reinforced or newly built. Among them, castle of Mt. Bukak has been recently restored and open to the public. Hanyang castle is best walking destination where you can enjoy old look and all the beautiful natural scenery.
○2Introduction of Seoul Castle
Seoul castle is a castle town of the Joseon Dynasty surrounding Seoul. Taejo transfer of the capital in Hanyang. Afterward he was built palaces and Jongmyo and then, He primarily keep watch the castle ruins. He was determined Castle ruin climbing Mt.Nak, Mt.Bukak, Mt.Inwang and Mt.Nam. He was 4.5m tall stone to build at high and steep mountains, and the length of the walls stacking stone is 5.7km. Also he was built dirt in the plains. Mud-plastered wall’s scale is 7.5M in width from lower part, 5.4M in width from upper part, 7.5M in height. And the length of the walls is 12.9KM.

Castle is connected to the mountains surrounding Hanyang. Castle of Hanyanghas been four big gates and four small gates. Four big gates are Dongdaemun, Namdaemun, Seodaemun and Bukdaemun. So four small gates are Hyehwamun, Changeuimun, Soeuimun and gwangheemun.
