Ryan`s management style
1.Relationship
He wasn`t really friendly with anyone, he had no real friends in the team.
He didn’t seem to trust his staff.
2.Communication
He hated people disagreeing with him. He also never said what he required of the staffs’ work.
3. Set clear goals
He didn’t set clear goals. This can create ambiguities and staff can make mistakes in their work.
4.Immediate feedback
He didn`t want to spend time with team members and they couldn’t get any feedback from him. But the staff always want to get instructions from their manager in their work.

Koichi
Our choice & reasons

: Our team chose Koichi as the project manager. Ryan is strong and unfriendly, whereas Koichi is very democratic, mild and sociable. So he hold lots of meetings with staff. There are no time limit. Then he discuss their goals with staff. He never take decisions without consulting staff. It is more rational than Ryan‘s style. And He don't allow arguments at work as that is bad for team morale. It would be keep good atmosphere in the team. Furthermore, he is loyal and hardworking. So he give staff clear and realistic goals through the discussion. Although he is excessively hardworking(overworked) and professional, that will be to motivate staff to work more productive. Thus, we think Koichi is the most appropriate person for the project(as the project manager).
