Disneyland is built over this huge underground complex. As mentioned above, this tunnel helps cast members’ movement from here to there. Since 29 access points from the Utilidors to the Park above, it allows cast members freely move to their assigned places without disturbing customer’s having fun. In addition to this, there exist various functions that this tunnel has. The Utilidors also contain the infrastructure including sewer lines, power lines, computer networking cables, and water lines. Moreover, electric vehicles like golf carts are used to shuffle people, equipment, merchandise, and supplies around. Trash is emptied via the utilidors as well. Pneumatic tubes suck trash from the parks to a central location for collection. The Digital Animation Control System (DACS) is also housed in the Utilidors. DACS is the “nerve center” that controls the hundreds of Audio-Animatronics figures. DACS also opens theater doors, elevates stage lifts, operates lighting and curtains, and monitors fire protection, security, equipment failure, and power loss. These are not all about Utildors. The
