3. Conclusion
There was an incident of an 18-year-old student who pointed a knife at a female teacher after she confiscated his cell phone during class . Another incident occurred when a 15-year-old student slapped a teacher on the cheek about 20 times and kicked her in the thigh several times.
According to one of the articles describing these kinds of incidents in Korea, they said “Teacher’s authority comes under siege“, “School teachers are increasingly having a hard time conducting classes and controlling unruly students. Some teachers even fear they may be assaulted by their pupils if they take cell phones away from them or scold them for disorderly behavior during class”.
