The current tourism industry in Korea is bright than ever. The number of the foreign tourist in Korea is increasing the number from 8.75million (2010) to 979 million (2011), According to the data of immigration, Inbound tourist increased more than 20%, compared with last year. Over 1 billion tourist visited Korea. For this issue, Major cities in Korea try to build new accommodations for potential customer. However, About 2 million rooms will be insufficient. In case of Seoul city in particular, the lodging demand is 55,919 rooms yet the lodging supply including potential hotel is only 28,468 rooms.

I.2 Characteristic of Hotel Industry
Majority of tourist staying in Hotel are Chinese, Japanese and American. These tourists recently visit Korea as frequent individual tourist. Mostly, they are visiting Seoul city. Characteristic of these tourists would like to stay reasonable accommodation and to enjoy unforgettable experience. Since they make a reservation in advance of visiting the city, FIT tourists save the expense by using cheaper accommodations such as guest house, Han-ok, residence. Instead of lots of lodging expense, those travelers want to experience others. For example, according to travel company data, Japanese prefer to use business hotel, visiting here with family, friends. The main purpose of visiting Korea is Shopping, city tour.
