fisrt I will tell you a short introduction of MRP SYSTEM and then describe bills of material, MRP process and explain how the material requirements plan is used.

not related to the demand for any other product
Dependent demand: it is the demand for the components which depend on independent demand
1) Nature of Demand

MRP is designed to do this calculation

There are two types of demand when we produce some product. independent demand and dependent demand.
For example when we try to make a table , the demand for table is independent but the demand for the components to make a table are dependent
since dependent demand is directly related to the demand for completed products, it can be calculated. Like calculating how many legs are needed to make one unit of table
Material requirements planning is designed to do this calculation.

Material requirements planning has two major objectives: determining requirements and keeping priorities current
First one is to determine what components are needed to meet the master production and schedule to calculate the periods when the components must be available. It must determine the following:
Second one is keeping priorities current, because The demand for, and supply of, components changes every day. a material requirements plan must be able to reorganize priorities to keep plans current
