Background
First impressions was written by Jane Austen since 1796 to 1797.
Her father was deeply moved after read this book, and then he gave it to a publisher, hoping it could be published. But the publisher disappointed them at last.
Jane rewrote this story and renamed it Pride and Prejudice.
Finally, it was published in 1813.
