PULL BACK slowly as MARS fills THE FRAME, a sphere of red desert and fast rushing crimson clouds.
A triangular CARGO SHIP descends from the dark of space.
PILOT (OVER)
Mars mining base, this is Grissom One,

The man is silent. On screen: "Trace program: running."
We listen to the phone conversation as though we were on a
third line. The mans name is Cypher. The woman,
Trinity.
TRINITY (WOMAN) (V.O.)
I said, is everything in place?
The entire screen fills with racing columns of numbers.
fast. Did you take a cab?
I didnt have money. I got the Chrysler
people to demonstrate the car again.
- The one with gold trim?
- Was it gold? I didnt wear my specs.
The one they sent for me
had gold trim.
- Smooth, huh?
- Creamy.
- Are we really in?
- Built in.
- Ill call Loco.
- Loco who?
The girl I told you about,
from Jersey.
- You didnt say her name was Loco.
- Its what the models call her.

She loves that.
( chuckling )
Tight security this morning.
I guess Chancies a little paranoid.

The Officer enters the lobby, tosses the bag of food to his PARTNER who is sitting at a desk. He grabs a tin cup and walks over to barred entrance to Block A. Twenty or so CRIMINALS, from drunks to drug dealers are sleeping peacefully in their cell on Block A. The Officer rattles the tin cup between the entrance bar.
INT. JAIL CELLS - DAY
The inmates stir, rubbing

It could be late
to get in someones face somewhere.
It runs down the road, doesnt it?
Boom! Whoosh! Nyyyaoum!
Faster than the fucking taxis!
Of which there are five.
(Laughter, cheering and applause)
I dont know what thats about.
Youre a no-taxi city, arent you?
Five taxis, all going,
