-“Garbage” becomes “post-consumer waste materials”
-“Quotas” become “educational equity”
-“Women” become “people of gender”
Such non-standard sanitizing of potentially offensive words can reduce the clarity of messages
language. For quick conversations, people contract a long sentence to a short word like ‘정줄놓’, ‘흠좀무’, 'LMAO' and 'AFX'. It can be compared with slang which functions as meaning rather than as technic.
