Ⅰ. Introduction
American Wal-Mart is the number one retailer in the world. They are well-known for their advanced MIS. By developing and using their enormous DW, they could be the world's best corporation. Wal-mart's annual revenue is more than twice as much as Korea Republic's annual budget. They have 3,000 shopping centers in America. Their revenue in 2005 was 310billion dollars. Even there is an interesting statistic data that 84% of American people are Wal-mart's customer.

If the company enter the new marketplace, the company required to be revising or developing the management system. Also, If these management systems are adopted without consideration, there is a possibility of failure due to the different environment. Therefore, altering the DW to comply with the present business environment is necessary.
In this study, we try to get the lessons from the Wal-mart's IS by analysing it.
Also we try to find the problems of the Wal-mart's IS. After we find the problems or discomforts of the Wal-mart's IS, we will suggest future direction of the Wal-mart's IS.
