Annales Cambriae(The Annals of Wales)
A Latin language chronicle, dating
from around AD 970, covering 533
years in time
Despite the name, the Annales
Cambriae recorded not only events in
Wales, but also events in Ireland,
Cornwall, England, Scotland and
sometimes further afield
Historia Brittonum (The History of the Britons)
Nennius is traditionally named as
the author of the text, though this is widely
considered a secondary tradition,
originating in the 10th century
