Sir Thomas Malory's compilation of some
French and English Arthurian romances.
Many modern Arthurian writers have used
Malory as their principal source
Malory divided his work into eight tales
- The birth and rise of Arthur

- The book of Lancelot
- The book of Gareth (brother of Gawain)
- Tristan and Isolde
- The Quest for the Holy Grail
- The affair between Lancelot and Guinevere
- The breaking of the Knights of the Round
Table and the death of Arthur
Annales Cambriae(The Annals of Wales)
A Latin language chronicle, dating
from around AD 970, covering 533
years in time
Despite the name, the Annales
Cambriae recorded not only events in
Wales, but also events in Ireland,
Cornwall, England, Scotland and
sometimes further afield
Historia Brittonum (The History of the Britons)
Nennius is traditionally named as
the author of the text, though this is widely
considered a secondary tradition,
originating in the 10th century
Historical work was first composed
around 830, existing in several recensions
of varying difference. Containing
the history of the Brittonic inhabitants of
Britain from earliest times. It is also used
to write a history of both Wales and
England
