There are many mix-blood stars that struggled with the discrimination and finally succeed despite a lot of adversities. And they are the good models for us to think about our mistaken impression. Here are the stars.
- Hines Ward
Hines Ward who was born in March 8, 1976 in Seoul, South Korea is an American football player who currently plays the wide receiver position for the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers. He was voted MVP of Super Bowl XL. Born to a Korean mother and an African American father, he suffered many adversities in his life. Not only in the U.S, but also in the Korea people gave him a strange look as if he were some kind of alien. But he overcame such difficulties and finally, he became an advocate for biracial youths in South Korea. And last year, he brought the issue about the discrimination against the mix-blood people. This caused a big movement about improving our perception to the mix-blood people.

Insooni was born to a Korean mother and an African American father who served in US Armed Forces in Korea and was brought up by her mother alone. But she couldn’t get into the high school because of poverty and she had a hard time living as Korean.
