Charles Perrault – Little Red Riding Hood
He was a French poet and writer. He is remembered mainly for his collection of fairytales published in 1697 under the title Histories.
Perrault's elegant and simple style made these tales extremely popular, and they quickly became the accepted version of the stories.
Brother Grimm – Little Red Capa
They are best known for their collection of more than 200 fairy and folk tales.
In 1812 they published the first volume of their Kinder- und Hausmarchen or Household and Nursery Tales.
The Grimm brothers collected their tales from various sources from friends and neighbors and old men and women in the villages. Their collected tales included a few stories from written sources, but it was oral tales that the brothers considered crucial to collect and write down.
