The printer that is widely used is 2D printer. 2D printer is operated with papers and ink. It can print the letters, shapes and colored pictures on the paper. However, 3D printer can make 3D structure with ink like polymer. 3D printers make the product with not the top-down method but the bottom-up method. The most useful advantage of 3D printer is that it is the more useful device when someone wants to make more complicate product, because devices using top-down method has the limitation when make complicate products. In other words, 3D printer has no limitation to build up the shape of product and can print all the shape that can be programed by software. So, people expect that various artifacts that we cannot see so far will appear and 3D printer change and evolve the visual field of human life.
So far, people must find the solution about the problems of printing time, materials of ink, colors and stiffness of materials of 3D printer but it is not a big deal. Though this problems prevent 3D printers form mass-producing the stuffs, diversified small-quantity production is possible with present technology fortunately. The stiffness of materials is 80 percent of the stuffs that is widely spread, and the kinds of materials of ink is very various, plastic, powder, rubber, wax, metal, wood, paper, and so on (about 30 kinds of material). The materials that have various colors is made and commercialized and the one that is possible for electroplating on it is commercialized too. After the technology for 3D printing is evolved, the price of the materials for 3D printing ink may go down and it causes more and more supply of 3D printer for individual person. And people expect that the purchase of the 3D printer is more and more increased and it may be commonly used device for people. Of course, 3D printers for individual are being sold now. However, it still has the problems that must be improved. From now on, 3D printers will have many roles to lead 3th industrial revolution related to ICT fused and complex technology and internet business. Finally, our society is being changed old-aged society, but this 3D printer may provide the solutions for this serious problem.
