1) STP

(1) Segmentation
Considering size of the market , Crossfit has a problem that its market, which is consist of mania base, is too small to make profits. So it needs to make larger market adding popular factors to solve this problem. Therefore we want to find segments that Crossfit could appeal, considering Crossfit's strengths got by SWOT analysis.

① enjoy exercise(or sports) vs. dislike taking exercise(or sports)
When someone, who is interested in playing sports or already goes to a fitness club, knows about Crossfit, he can be easily interested and take part in Crossfit. So we could choose groups that enjoy exercise for target market. But in Korea, when we distinguish between people who take exercise more than 7 hours during the week and those who don't, there are more people who don't take exercise. Therefore we should consider this point when we decide our target market.

② sensitive to time efficiency vs. less sensitive
Crossfit has a strength which is the time-saving program. So it requires less time but offers more powerful effect than existing fitness exercise. So our group is in discussion about who might be attracted to Crossfit's this strength.

③ Job relation
Sometimes, a job will require a great physical condition. People, who have belonged to the job, need great physical conditions. So Crossfit could appeal to them more easily. Because Crossfit is very effective fitness programs.



(2) Targeting

Considering our discussion in Segment, our team decides three target segments.

① men want to keep their body in shape in 20s and 30s
 features of men in 20s : They spend most of their life in the campus except a military life. So they keep their body in shape with great care. Also they more enjoy sports because they have time and friends who share their interests. Therefore, they are interested in improving their physical fitness to help to enjoy sports.
 features of men in 30s : Their position is low in their job and they want to be promoted, so they spend much time about their job for living. Thus, they sometimes should do works requiring good physical fitness kind of overtime. And they have no time so they are sensitive to time efficiency. In addition, they want to be still twenties and not long after they were married, so they keep their body in shape. If they do Crossfit, it will help to do work requiring good physical fitness kind of overtime and making love. And Crossfit offer them more high time efficiency than existing fitness exercise so it satisfy their tastes.
② women want to keep their body in shape in 20s and 30s
They dislike taking exercise but they are very sensitive about diet and have an obsession about skinny figure. And they don't have any information and don't know well about fitness. So if we let them know that Crossfit is much better at getting you into shape in short period time and offers information about diet, we could get more their attention. Also, if we introduce that Crossfit has more interesting things than existing fitness exercise, such as team-exercise and breaking your record, it will soften their attitude of disliking exercise.

③ People who need great physical condition because of job
There are physical training students, guards, athletes, fire fighters, police men and so on. And they need great physical condition for their job. Therefore, there is a chance that they could be manias when Crossfit appeal to them. Because they need exercise in life cycle. They have a strong masculinity and men fill most of the jobs.
