Analysis
We analyze this case for three dimensions. First, we think about Rob Parson and his problems. Second, we analyze group that Rob Parson is included and finally we think about organization, Morgan Stanley.
Individual problem – Analysis of Rob parson’s personality
Personality is the total way in which an individual reacts and interacts with others. We can analyze Rob parson’s personality according to co-worker’s evaluations. (We can refer to p9~p13) Let’s apply his personality to the Big five model. In this case, we can see that there are differences when Rob Parson treats his customers and his co-workers.
According to evaluation, he has done his job very well and had good relationship to his customer. So he gets high grade ‘to customer’ when we score him through The Big Five Model. On the other hand, he has been lack of team player skills, presentation skills and management skills. He has maintained his own opinion. He sometimes has used unprofessional words to his co-workers. We can see differences in his behaviors and that makes conflicts between Rob parson and others.
Then, why does Rob parson behave a little bit different to his customer and to his co-workers?
