Subordinate ethnic groups
Three subordinate ethnic groups are Tharus, Newars, and Sherpas. Tharu’s natural immunity to malaria makes the Tharus very unique. They remained their ancient life style. They sticks on their original culture even they are quite “civilized”.(Yu & Huh, 2008) Moreover, they have animism religion which is influenced by Hinduism and Buddhism.(Nepal tourism Board)
Newars have various abilities in many different fields, such as politics, economics, architecture, arts, and so on. They are especially outstanding in literature, sculpture, bronze making and silver casting.
Sherpas, the tribe from Tibet, only take 3% out of the Nepal population, but are the most famous. It is because of their bravery and sincerity shown by working as Himalaya hiking guides and porters from the 20th century.(Nepal tourism Board)
Nepal Political system
Nepal is officially called a Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. Nepal had a first democratic election on 1991, and it became a republic on 2008. It is the world’s most recent nation to become a republic.
