Starch Indicator
Starch is the indicator of choice for redox titrations involving iodine because it forms an intense blue complex with iodine.

Starch should not be added to such a reaction until immediately before the equivalence point. Otherwise some iodine tends to remain bound to starch particles after the equivalence point is reached.
