As Celltrion is a pharmaceutical company, its main purpose is developing and manufacturing bio-medicine. In that area, the no.1 skill which Celltrion has is ‘bio-similar’. Bio-similar is a variant of a biopharmaceutical that is marketed following the expiry of the original patent. It means that bio-similar copied original medicine’s quality, effect and safety. Also as bio-similar copied original one, its price is much cheaper than the origin. Bio medicine is effective and has small side effect than chemical medicine. But people can’t get in touch with bio medicine because it is too expensive. In this view, bio-similar contributed to a popularization of pharmacy and enlargement of market. We can know that Celltrion has high level of bio-similar skill from the fact that it is the only one firm that made Herceptin and Remicade similar in the world. Also Celltrion has a high level of product facilities, too. The size of product facility of Celltrion is 50.00L and it got an approval from the FDA in the first time in Asia. Not only this, Celltrion plans to build 180,000L more in the future. 90,000L already has been built in machinery part. This product facilities are the largest size in Asia.
