After the WWII, U.S. had to change their foreign policy from isolationism to interventionism due to the phase that impoverishment of Europe, rising communism centered from the Soviet Union. Then, we should consider of the fact that how did U.S. intervene to other countries.
This study is starting from Iraq war in 2003 and the state of Egypt in the beginning of 2011 that different reaction of American intervention of these two cases. From these cases, we would like to discuss about U.S' realistic face and humanitarian intervention which reflects two faces of their foreign policy.
U.S. attacked Iraq under the reason of protection of liberalism and they justifies that it was a humanitarian intervention, but why did the U.S. connived 30years of dictatorship of Mubarak's regime in Egypt? Is it because of the liberalism and human rights issues in Egypt in international society was on right track? Or is there other realistic factors that affects U.S.' actions? If there is a realistic factors hidden behind it, what would be the cause for it?
