냉전기 북한의 상상 지리와 ‘평양 선언’

냉전은 미국이 이끄는 자유 진영과 소련이 이끄는 공산 진영의 대립으로 이해된다. 그리고 냉전은 시간적 차원에서 1991년 소련의 해체로 종식된다. 그러나 이와 같은 냉전의 시간적 이해는 냉전적 잔재가 여전히 작동하고 있는 현재의 한반도 문제뿐 아니라 일련의 동아시아 문제를 제대로 포착할 수 없게 한다. 본 연구는 냉전에 대한 이해지평을 확장하기 위한 시도로서, 냉전을 닫힌 해석의 공간이 아닌 제2차 세계대전 이후 새롭게 열린 공간으로서 바라보자고 제안한다. 공간적 관점을 통해서 본다면 냉전은 진영을 넘나드는 다양한 개입이 이루어진 시기이기도 했다. 본 연구는 이를 포착하기 위해 1964년과 1981년에 채택된 ‘평양 선언’의 맥락과 북한의 자기 정당화 서사에 주목하며, 냉전을 바라보는 북한의 상상 지리의 변화를 추적한다.

북한체제시장화와 불가역적 체제변화 가능성 분석

본 논문은 시장화를 중심테제로 북한체제 내부의 변화 추이 및 불가역적 상황전개 분석을 시도하고 있다. 형식적으로는 여전히 사회주의 체제의 특성을 보이지만, 북한은 이미 상당 수준 자본주의화가 진행된 초기자본주의 특징이 발견된다. 현재 북한체제에서 국가와 시장이라는 상호 이질적 존재는 필요에 따라 결합(結合)과 분리(分離)가 교차하며 이중경제 체제를 구축한 채 북한경제를 견인(牽引)하고 있다. 그리고 악화된 거시지표에도 불구하고 이른바 민간분야 경제주체(economy agent)들의 활약으로 인해 내수경제는 자체적인 생존능력을 보여주며 작동중이다. 이 과정에서 이른바 경제주체의 대표주자인 돈주들의 비중이 지속적으로 커져가고 있다. 특혜와 편익, 지대추구로 공유된 이익의 공생관계의 구조적 메커니즘이 경제활동 전반에 작동하고 있는 것으로 분석된다. 수직적 지대추구...
